THE ARTIST & WORK

Tom Farrell is an Artist and Naval Architect born and professionally educated in Glasgow.
 
Having worked abroad (in New York and elsewhere) and travelled extensively, Tom’s Glasgow Prints, produced from his own watercolours and included here, are inspired by what he considers to be the ‘new’ Glasgow - new, not least, in cultural diversity and rejuvenation – that he has found on his return to the city after his period of absence. His other work includes a series of Art Nouveau inspired images, all of which are original in concept, and additional Scottish pictures.
 
Whilst in the past Tom has marketed work, originals and prints, through conventional gallery outlets, he now customarily chooses to sell prints only, exhibiting these mainly where invited and where he has a greater measure of control over the way the work is displayed, as demonstrated by, for example, periodical exhibition of framed prints at a number of major city hotels.
